Over the years, the Oil Companies Advisory Council has served as a trusted forum for engagement between the downstream oil industry, government, and regulators. Through consistent representation and constructive dialogue, OCAC has played an important role in supporting policy outcomes that balance national priorities with operational realities.
It is an honor to assume the Chairmanship of the Council at a time when Pakistan’s energy sector faces both heightened expectations and increasing complexity. A reliable and affordable energy supply remains fundamental to economic growth, mobility, and livelihoods across the country. Ensuring this continuity safely, efficiently, and responsibly remains a central obligation of the industry.
As an industry, we recognise that our role is evolving beyond the traditional parameters of supply. Alongside operational excellence and safety, there is growing emphasis on efficiency, environmental stewardship, and a pragmatic approach to energy transition. Progress in these areas cannot be achieved through abrupt shifts or fragmented efforts; it requires long term thinking, informed policymaking, and close collaboration among all stakeholders.
Looking ahead, OCAC will continue to serve as a constructive bridge between industry and government advocating solutions that strengthen sector resilience, improve performance standards, and support a stable, forward looking energy framework for Pakistan.
